So this is devastating but I am participating in the 23rd <a href="http://boutofbooks.blogspot.com/2018/08/bout-of-books-23-schedule.html?m=1">Bout of Books</a> readathon. No cover photos until my wrap up at the end of the week once I know what I actually read.</p>

We have Jon a boy that was kidnapped and then his best friend and the life they lead and how they felt with Jon's disappearance. We also have Eggs a police officer or detective I can't recall which since I read this a month ago (to let the feelings sink in before talking about it). <br>
The story takes place in many different places and times. We see the different characters grow and we either love them or hate them. I hated the two main characters and their relationship, it felt so fake and unreal. The relationships in Eggs life is much more interesting even if most of the relationship between his son isn't even really seen only talked about.<br>
Caroline Kepnes has a good way of making you fall in love with characters who are making bad choices and I'm sure there are some characters in this novel you won't fall in love with, but it is a good read.<br>
The novel starts up fast paced, but in the middle of the book it felt a bit slow and the main characters actions started to annoy me. I don't want to say to much about the story because I love to go into books a bit blind, but this book isn't revolutionary. Nothing really made me think back to this particular novel, but if your looking for a book that will hook you in the very first chapter this is it. Eggs made me want to keep reading the story and I wanted to know what the resolution would be to the main character's problem (which I didn't really enjoy in the end). There was a romance in this novel that I hated, but it drove the story. In the end I liked Eggs and hated the rest of the book. Well not really hated I just didn't enjoy the end result which again you have to pick up the book to know exactly what I mean.</p>
<p dir="ltr">I got a chance to read this book ahead of it's release date thanks to NetGalley, all opinions are my own. If you want to pick this book up for yourself it is available Tuesday June 19.</p>

I picked this book up because I never read all the textbooks (the set of three classroom books assigned to Harry Potter in the series). It's always "I haven't written in so long because I've been busy", I'm not lying about that, but it's sort of a given, right? I stop writing because I have nothing to write about or because I have no time. Also, it's intimidating to have to write a post saying "sorry, but I'm back now" again and again. I'm always at work and when I'm home I just want to relax. Not that this isn't relaxing to me, but it is time consuming. Turning on a laptop, exporting/importing pictures, editing my jumbled up thoughts, etc.. But I guess that I'm just going to come here and write, not worry about the length of time since the last update like every other time. <div>I plan on starting off with weekly reviews of what I've been up to along side some pictures, to remind me of events as well. Hopefully throwing in a few pictures will keep me from being to boring since my weeks are very bland.</div><div>There are also book reviews which I plan on writing so that my readers can get a glimpse of what I've been reading (since I read on my down time) and pick up the book on release dates. I want to get back into read-a-thons so I can hopefully participate in one a few times a month and use my blog as an updating platform. </div><div>Anyways I'll be around so come back here for more random updates from me. </div><div><br></div><div><b><i><u>Extra Special Update to this Update</u></i></b>: I wrote this down over a month ago and I couldn't bring myself to type it out and now that I did my app wouldn't let me publish the post so....🙇🏻</div><div><br></div><div>Mabel</div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-38317444092302171592017-05-08T23:41:00.001-07:002017-05-15T17:53:01.253-07:00Bout of Books 19 | Wrap UpMonday May 8<div>On the first day of the read-a-thon I had to work most of the day so I only read around 9 pages of A Monster Calls, meaning Chapter 1. I arrived to work a few minutes early so since I downloaded the book onto my phone I read until I had to clock into work. I woke up to an email notification from the library confirming that I now had my hands on Girl Online: Going Solo. I have two days off from work so I plan on finishing Androids and picking up Zoe Sugg's book. I might save A Monster Calls for workdays just because I already have it on my phone, but who knows I might be in the mood for that at some point before Thursday. </div><div><br></div><div>Tuesday May 9</div><div>I decided to tackle Do Android Dream of Electric Sheep first since I only had a few chapters left. I read all 84 remaining pages and then relaxed for a bit by watching a few videos on my phone. Then I downloaded Girl Online onto my iPad which I had been charging while I read Androids. I'm thinking I can finish it by Wednesday afternoon since I didn't download it on my phone and will have to wait to be near my iPad to read it. I read 131 pages out of 235 which means tomorrow I should be able to read the remaining 104 pages, if I don't feel lazy like I did today.</div><div><br></div><div>Wednesday May 10</div><div>I finished reading Girl Online, possibly the last book in the series, and for some reason I feel like even though it is a middle grade book it was so good. The main character does so many hobbies and among those she blogs and throughout the novel we see her posts and how it relates to her life and what is happening at that moment. It made me want to start writing all over again, the same way she does and uses her blog as a personal diary, but my life isn't as interesting as hers. I loved it because of that though. </div><div>I didn't read for the rest of the afternoon since my family and I spent it celebrating Mother's Day.</div><div><br></div><div>Thursday May 11</div><div>I got to work early so I read a bit of A Monster Calls, once I got out of work I read some more for about an hour. </div><div><br></div><div>Friday May 12</div><div>I didn't have to go into work until later on in the day so I read more of A Monster Calls. I had a tough day so once I got home I relaxed for a few hours before going to bed. </div><div><br></div><div>Saturday May 13</div><div>I finished reading A Monster Calls, I only had a few chapters left to read. I decided not to pick up another book because weekends always go by too fast and I don't have time to read like I do on weekdays. I didn't get a hold of the next Princess Diaries book or either of the other two books I placed on hold for this read-a-thon. </div><div>While I was at work I downloaded The Monstromologist, but had no time to actually read it.</div><div><br></div><div>Sunday May 14</div><div>I read nothing before, after, or during work. It was a long day and once I came home I wanted to relax and watch Once Upon a Time's 2 hour season finale and just end the day there. </div><div><br></div><div>Although I didn't read much on certain days I'm glad I participated in this week long readathon because it made me read more than I would usually have. Did anyone else participate and if you did do you know of any upcoming readathons that are similar that I can also join? </div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-5046665911513564392017-05-07T21:27:00.001-07:002017-05-07T21:43:25.534-07:00Bout of Book 19 | TBRI have been in the mood to read recently and since I didn't get to participate in Dewey's 24 hour Readathon because of work, I thought I would try Bout of Books; It's a week long read a thon and there's a bigger chance of actually reading at some point in the week. <div><br></div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdPO6drm_W9UFdf2cXuX6wA1yhKTf8BFlmVafPsY1pPonrRfLlQEfgCm_ZFIov07c3XBFN2oLvGuVERsXJFXY2Q2_gcnL-4coo2DVUUVnEjyGHzINey1QLTlwZxQiTX3j11UFSTi8Shxz6/s640/blogger-image--609328913.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgdPO6drm_W9UFdf2cXuX6wA1yhKTf8BFlmVafPsY1pPonrRfLlQEfgCm_ZFIov07c3XBFN2oLvGuVERsXJFXY2Q2_gcnL-4coo2DVUUVnEjyGHzINey1QLTlwZxQiTX3j11UFSTi8Shxz6/s640/blogger-image--609328913.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div>I recently watched Princess Diaries so I read the first two books and have been waiting to get the third book. I have the last book in the Lara Jean series by Jenny Han which I won't get since it's a huge hold list and I'm nowhere near #1. I also have the third book in the Girl Online: Going Solo series by Zoe Sugg, I am either first or second in line for that book. </div><div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFUrqEzJQBetsNPYeSq1u0PWyUAmhTwpPg_IRz1GzNDJ5Xmn5gYeUjzNPNo20g5KWKoPsOrfPYINDJvCYpAF_jUphi5NC2ZgYx2n9kRZU7u_kL5JarvtJIMftMDGEa5Rw_Iw8wsdV-vwul/s640/blogger-image--2055190705.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhFUrqEzJQBetsNPYeSq1u0PWyUAmhTwpPg_IRz1GzNDJ5Xmn5gYeUjzNPNo20g5KWKoPsOrfPYINDJvCYpAF_jUphi5NC2ZgYx2n9kRZU7u_kL5JarvtJIMftMDGEa5Rw_Iw8wsdV-vwul/s640/blogger-image--2055190705.jpg"></a></div><br></div><div><br></div><div>So based on my list I can only really read 2 books until I actually have the other books in my hands. So if I finish Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep and A Monster Calls without getting any of the others I will borrow another book or pick one of my own books to read. I will post a final list of what I read throughout the week so come back next Monday to see how my week went. </div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-56380051981748446572016-10-24T22:04:00.001-07:002016-10-29T11:18:12.303-07:00BookBuddyathon TBR & Wrap-up<div>Similar to last week this read-a-thon has five challenges two of which I personally changed to fit my goals since I am reading by myself. So the last book I chose to read is Behind every mean girl...there's a tragedy because I started it and totally forgot about it.</div><div><br></div><div><u><b>Monday October 24</b></u></div><div>I had the whole day to read The Monstrous today, I ended up reading 133 pages. In between reading I went to the library with my brother in order to look for books for this read-a-thon. We spent almost two hours there because my brother was playing Pokemon Go, the only reason he decided to go with me. It gave me enough time to look around and see if anything caught my attention or if there were physical copies of the Ebooks I am waiting to read. </div><div><br></div><div><b><u>Tuesday October 25</u></b></div><div>Today I read the last 51 pages of The Monstrous. Then for the rest of the afternoon I read 97 pages of Memoirs of a Geisha. So in total I read 148 pages.</div><div><br></div><div><b><u>Wednesday October 26</u></b></div><div><i>Workday</i></div><div>Before heading into work I read 22 pages of Memoirs of a Geisha. After work I read 10 pages of Behind every mean girl...there's a tragedy (whose title I am not a fan of b/c length). So, in total I read 32 pages today, typically for a work day.</div><div><br></div><div><b><u>Thursday October 27</u></b></div><div><i>Workday</i></div><div>Before work I read Memoirs of a Geisha and while I was riding the train I read it too so I got to read 33 pages. Then while at work I got to read 9 pages of Behind every mean girl. So in total I read 42 pages.</div><div><u><i><br></i></u></div><div><b><u>Friday October 28</u></b></div><div>I didn't have to go into work today so I started my morning off by reading the last 20 pages of Memoirs of a Geisha. I then went on to read Behind every mean girl...there's a tragedy and read the remaining 118 pages. So I read 138 pages in total today. I was planning to start a new book in the evening, but that just didn't happen.</div><div><br></div><div>So, for this read-a-thon I completed only two challenges, and only read 3 books out of the 5 I planned on reading. Which is actually fine wi me because now I can start fresh with my new book series and not have other books waiting to be picked up again. There will be more read-a-thins in November so stay tuned for those.</div><div><br></div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-7037977335578038542016-10-18T15:17:00.000-07:002016-10-18T15:17:34.483-07:00Spookathon TBRSome read-a-thons have a few challenges that you have to accomplish throughout the week in order to have had a successful read-a-thon. These next two read-a-thons are just like that, today I will be talking about the books I plan to read in accordance with each challenge for the Spookathon. I have 7 days to finish the 5 challenges for the read-a-thon that starts tomorrow Monday, October 17 and ends Sunday, October 23. The good thing is that if one book falls into more than one category you can use that book for any or all of those challenges so in the end you don't have to read 5 books total.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
1.<b> <i>Read a thriller</i></b></div>
<div>
Basically two of the book on my list fall into this category, but if all else fails I can read a Stephen King novel, Gyliann Flynn book, or anything from this list... <a href="https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/thriller" style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">https://www.goodreads.com/shelf/show/thriller</a>.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
2. <b><i>Read a book with a spooky word in the title</i></b></div>
<div>
The Monstrous is a book that I saw once while walking out of the library, I took a picture to remember the title and I finally picked it up.</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<br /></div>
<div>
3.<b><i> Read a book with red in the cover</i></b></div>
<div>
Innocent by Eric Walters was given to me a few months before it came out last year and I never got around to read it so better late than never.</div>

<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
4. <b><i>Read a 2016 release</i></b></div>
<div>
I have been waiting to get Harry Potter and the Cursed Child for a while now, if I happen to get it during the read-a-thon I plan on reading it straight away.</div>

<br /></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
5. <i><b>Read a book with a creature</b></i></div>
<div>
The last book I want to finish reading is Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs.</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
More updates for this read-a-thon will be posted next week. The wrap up will also have a long recap of Dewey's 24 Hour Readathon on that Saturday section.</div>

Not only with videos, but with appointments. I had an eye appointment scheduled today so that took around two hours out of my day, I then came home and looked for new glasses online. I did this all afternoon, and ended up choosing one of the first glasses I saw. Once they come I'll share them and what I think. I read 80 pages of Library of Souls, just a few pages from the end.</div><div><br></div><div>Wednesday October 19</div><div>I finished reading the last 19 pages of Library of Souls, the last book in the Peculiar Children series, this morning. I then read two stories (46 pages) in The Monstrous and stopped in order to hang out with my brother for the rest of the afternoon. I also took a quick nap somewhere in between that time and watched a few videos. I basically read 65 pages today on my last day off this week so that's telling you how this read-a-thon is going for me.</div><div><br></div><div>Thursday October 20</div><div><i>Workday: I had three hours to myself after work when I finally got to read.</i></div><div>Today I read 43 pages of The Monstrous and to tell you the truth I'm not in love with the book. The stories inside aren't scary and are very complex, the hot weather doesn't help either since I start to get sleepy when I read.</div><div><br></div><div>Friday October 21</div><div><i>Workday: I went into work a bit later, but got out even later than I originally intended to stay. When I work longer I get a longer break so I actually read a bit at work today.</i></div><div>I finished the story I started reading yesterday this morning before work and began a new story. This new story is actually really good and I want to finish it, I even read a bit at work, but once I got home my neighbors had really loud music on right next to my bedroom window so I couldn't read. So today I only read 14 pages of the monstrous.</div><div><br></div><div>Saturday October 22</div><div><b>Dewey's 24 Hour Read-a-thon|Spookathon|BookBuddy</b></div><div><i>Workday</i></div><div>I was planning to do a play by play of what I did every hour during the 24 hour read-a-thon today, but it would be very bleak to say the least. I was asleep the first 7-8 hours of it after 3 hours of getting ready and commuting I worked for another 6 hours and after an hour of going back home, I ended up in church, another hour lost. At the end of the night I had only <span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">read 11 pages of The Monstrous.</span></div><div><br></div><div>Sunday October 23</div><div><b>Spookathon|BookBuddy</b></div><div><i>Workday </i></div><div>I worked the same hours as yesterday, but since it is Sunday there wasn't much traffic on my way to work so I got to read a bit before work. Once I got out of work I had to go run errands so I didn't read much that afternoon. For my final day of this Readathon I <span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">read 21 pages of The Monstrous. On the bright side it finally feels like fall weather, it was nice and gloomy today and it started to rain when I was out and about.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Although this read-a-thon wasn't eventful, I feel like this next week is going to be better since I am currently reading and it's my day off so I have time to read and am planning to go to the library. That explains why I didn't put up a TBR for BookBuddyathon, I knew I would still be reading The Monstrous, but other than that I have only two other books to read. One of the challenges is to read 5 books and I didn't have any that I could or would want to read next. Plus, although this is a read-a-thon were you have to read a book with a buddy, I am reading all books for myself and not with anyone else. So I still need to choose two books that won't really work with two of the challenges. Once I get all my books together I'll post that TBR or post it along side the wrap-up at the end of the week, we shall see.</span></div><div><br></div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-33799473309120345962016-10-03T19:11:00.001-07:002016-10-10T15:46:20.223-07:00FrightFall Wrap-UpMonday October 3<div>I worked all morning today so I didn't get to read until maybe 6pm. I read a few pages of Library of Souls before starting work, around 5 pages although one photo takes up an entire page so let's say 3 and a half pages read. After work I <span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">read the first 69 pages of The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson. So in total I read around 74 pages on my first day.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Tuesday October 4</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">It was my day off which meant an entire day for me to read. I read The Unexpected Everything hoping to finish as much as I could today because it is due in about four days. I read a total of 203 pages today.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Wednesday October 5</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Today I finished reading The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson, I only had 74 pages left to read. I then read 35 pages of Behind Every Mean Girl...there's a tragedy, but had to stop because it felt similar to The Unexpected Everything. After giving myself a break I continued reading Library of Souls by Ransom Riggs, I stopped after a while so I only read 52 pages. After reading a little bit of each book I read 161 pages in total today. </span></div><div><br></div><div><font face="Helvetica Neue Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Thursday October 6</font></div><div><font face="Helvetica Neue Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Today was a busy day, I pretty much worked all day and once I got out there was so much traffic that I only had a few hours to rest. I read a few pages of Library of Souls before and after work, but in total it was only 19 pages. I took the train home so I read a few pages of Memoirs of a Geisha which I have yet to finished, I keep it in my bag for train rides or other moments where I can sit down and read; I read 8 pages of that before having to stop. So in total I read 27 pages today which makes me wonder if I'm even going to finish my one goal for the week, read a scary book.</font></div><div><font face="Helvetica Neue Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif"><br></font></div><div><font face="Helvetica Neue Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Saturday October 8</font></div><div><font face="Helvetica Neue Light, HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif">Today was all about number 8 not only the date, but also the number of pages I managed to read. <br />
I am back again to announce that this year instead of doing daily horror movies for the month of October I will be doing some form of read-a-thon almost every week of this month. The first one being in the first week of October and the three read-a-thons that follow will all be connected by one day. So while I am participating in one read-a-thon another read-a-thon will take place for only a day and also another read-a-thon will begin the day before the first one ends. Sounds complicated, it's not here is a list of read-a-thons I plan on participating in and the dates for them...<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://seasonsreading.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Fright Fall</a> October 3-9</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLXhCPCPOGHk4NWWv0KMwINqLQgIm_lxWi" target="_blank">Spookathon</a> October 17-23</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.24hourreadathon.com/" target="_blank">Dewey's 24-hour Read-a-thon</a> October 22</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ez2RrtHE-Gs&feature=youtu.be&a" target="_blank">BookBuddyathon</a> October 22-28 </div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So, as you can see three of the read-a-thons overlap. In other words there will be an hourly post on October 22, a post for BookBuddy on October 21, and a wrap up for Spookathon on October 24 so I'll annoy you guys for a few days straight. We'll see how that goes and if I don't just end up making a very long post for two of the read-a-thons. </div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<b>BUT...</b></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Before my blog gets taken over by all these read-a-thon posts I thought I would share a few pictures of what I did today. I was in the mood to play around with my makeup and am already excited about Halloween so put two and two together and you get a random makeup look. I wanted to see which one was better an evil dead mermaid or a cute princess type mermaid. I was thinking pinks and purples and of course green and blue. Once I finished this look I realized that the "scales" should have been used on the opposite side. So with trial and error I realized that if I end up using this look I will use green glitter scales for the evil mermaid and the blue for the princess mermaid.<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
THE EVIL DEAD MERMAID</div>
</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgweGgLFvK2Ijzubc8qatJfnAyHeYw9CM_ZSPxh0q5umt6M33KYEkgsoUGZx24DyQ_gVqMgjvfXbnY20rYEEiWb09JoRh8auNny3SjXhULbA145iPtZOWZdgizQ0WXjE1GLr64ZK6o6mZMt/s640/blogger-image--610824295.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgweGgLFvK2Ijzubc8qatJfnAyHeYw9CM_ZSPxh0q5umt6M33KYEkgsoUGZx24DyQ_gVqMgjvfXbnY20rYEEiWb09JoRh8auNny3SjXhULbA145iPtZOWZdgizQ0WXjE1GLr64ZK6o6mZMt/s640/blogger-image--610824295.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
My lighting isn't good so you can't really see the glitter and the colors might be a bit off, but in person it looked pretty cool. I mean for a trial version it made me want to use glitter and pink eye shadow every single day of my life. The glitter on the side of my face was actually blue even though you can't tell much on this picture and there is pink eye shadow on my eye along with purple glitter on top of that and on the lower lashes, I finished the look by drawing on thick eyebrows and adding a black lip.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
You can actually see the pink eye shadow on this side of my face and the colors are true to what they looked like, but once again you can't see all the glitter I had on (and still have on even after scrubbing everything off). This side was my favorite because of the pink lipstick, eye shadow, glitter, and pink cheeks. This just made me realize that I need to use my glitter for Halloween or as much as I can while I'm still in love with it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
SEEING DOUBLE</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg92XS91Jeq8_ZQJ21uoYEv1Z3t5KPfkKGMu4leAJ8cVr2jLa53UwFI44wxCke2S1JEStqr5cg59fBOps2gYVa9lYqpcMEbTyYGiD0A9n1pA5iz59U8p7Revqal_Gn1FCJSckpyBIEsNqp2/s640/blogger-image-831835223.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg92XS91Jeq8_ZQJ21uoYEv1Z3t5KPfkKGMu4leAJ8cVr2jLa53UwFI44wxCke2S1JEStqr5cg59fBOps2gYVa9lYqpcMEbTyYGiD0A9n1pA5iz59U8p7Revqal_Gn1FCJSckpyBIEsNqp2/s640/blogger-image-831835223.jpg" /></a></div>
That's right if you couldn't tell by the second picture, I did half good and half evil of my face. This is how crazy I looked in the end. And once again the colors look faded and there isn't any glitter. My black lipstick is matte though which I accomplished by tapping black eye shadow on top of a black opaque lipstick while it was still sticky. The other side is a shiny pink color I loved to use a few years back and should have probably thrown away by now, but I don't think I would be able to find it anymore.<br />
<br />
I had so much fun though just trying colors I wouldn't normally wear. I even feel like I am going to start tapping a bit of that glitter on the side of my eye next time I do my makeup just because it looked really pretty, maybe a muted skin tone color. Who knows if I'll actually walk outside wearing glitter though, we shall see.<br />

<br>
The first read-a-thon that I will be participating in for October is <a href="http://seasonsreading.blogspot.com/" target="_blank">Fright Fall</a> which is a week long readathon where the only requirement is that you read one scary book.<br>
<br>
There are many books that I want to read, but don't have with me because I am borrowing them from the library. Most of them have more than one person waiting to read them as well so, I might not even get them until after October. Here are the books I hope to get at some point this month and the number of people waiting for it as well.<div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijqdQUFJfT6lzzPscg2oBzT5vYrHlLrqTpHOd7S1kd-o2kPMEuzOTgItk4-0rG932UYqXKeCyZfZqji_OXD7Pn7ZtQBcH5PeS7evhtAZAdXzehum-mb_70itpLyAHfGZBeoR3BauS-0XzE/s640/blogger-image-673314711.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijqdQUFJfT6lzzPscg2oBzT5vYrHlLrqTpHOd7S1kd-o2kPMEuzOTgItk4-0rG932UYqXKeCyZfZqji_OXD7Pn7ZtQBcH5PeS7evhtAZAdXzehum-mb_70itpLyAHfGZBeoR3BauS-0XzE/s640/blogger-image-673314711.jpg"></a></div><br>
<br>
I plan on reading the sequels to those as well, but won't request them until I have started or finished the first book. I made a list of some books I do have and can read if the other books are not available to me by the time the readathon begins. These may change by the time it starts or during the read-a-thon, but you'll know if that happens once I post my wrap-up.<br>
<br>
The first book on my list is the "scary" book. I bought it maybe last year, but haven't had a chance to read it. I don't know why, maybe because it does look like it's going to be pretty scary.<br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51MqR4M56OL.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51MqR4M56OL.jpg" width="213"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The fact that the word demon is highlighted in the title is creepy enough, but I am also writing this at night and looking at it makes it that much more scary. I have no idea what the book is about, but Pandemonium by Daryl Gregory is eye catching enough to be on this list.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br></div>
The next book is an e-book I received a while ago and have been waiting for a good time to read it. The cover page alone reminds me of a book I read in high school named Go Ask Alice that I enjoyed so I had to get this book and see what it was all about.<br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://a.wattpad.com/cover/33294061-368-k316940.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://a.wattpad.com/cover/33294061-368-k316940.jpg" width="204"></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br></div>
Behind every mean girl... there's a tragedy by Hermione Daguin is a short read which is the best kind of book to pick up during a read-a-thon. It also looks as if I can read it at dark without getting scared about some scary monster.<br>
<br>
This next book I picked out randomly for a past read-a-thon, I didn't get it until after the read-a-thon had already ended so I thought I would try to finish it during this read-a-thon. What better way to end summer than by reading a contemporary book like The Unexpected Everything by Morgan Matson. I'm going in blind to all of these books so as the title suggests I have no idea what is going to happen in this book.<br>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/books/1443203227l/17838528.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://d2arxad8u2l0g7.cloudfront.net/books/1443203227l/17838528.jpg" width="212"></a></div>
I only have these three...four books to read during this week because this last book on my list is pretty long so my time might be taken up by it. And like I already stated there might be books I end up switching or adding into the list. </div><div><br></div><div>For example...</div><div>*** I just got Library of Souls so I will be reading that as well during this read-a-thon. I'm glad I got it in time to start off this read-a-thon with the book already in my possession. ***<br>
<br>
Just like last time I will do a daily wrap up for this read-a-thon and post it the day after the read-a-thon ends. I hope you are as excited about this month's bookish posts as I am.<br>

So, I didn't really read much I started reading one of the stories from Slasher Girls and Monster Boys before walking into work and I only now got to finish it. The story was 18 pages long, it was about zombies and it was sort of funny. I don't know if I'll read much this weekend, but I'm glad I have this book to read because of all the short stories I can complete throughout my day. </div><div><br></div><div>Saturday September 3</div><div>It seems like this whole weekend is going to be one story a day from Slasher Girls and Monster Boys. Today's story was 26 <span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">pages and reminded me of Psycho, but with a just ending. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Sunday September 4</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">For some weird reason I read more on days that I work longer than on shorter work days, maybe because I have a longer break time and I don't feel rushed. The first two stories I read before going to work one of the stories was M </span><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">similar to an old movie because of the blind justice (pun intended) and the fact that a blind person solves the murder while everyone who sees can't even figure it out. The one after that was pretty dumb and I actually forgot about it. And the last one that I read at work since I got there early was a three person POV that was pretty good and reminded me of something I can't really remember what though. </span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Monday September 5</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">It's my brother's birthday today so I felt like I wouldn't read at all, but there are two stories left in Slasher Girls and Monster Boys so I can get through it before the read-a-thon ends. I only got to read one story in the morning and a bit of the last story at work. In total I just read 22 pages, but I can finish it in the morning.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Tuesday September 6</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">I finished the last 7 pages of Slasher Girls and Monster boys. I started reading Finale, but kept getting distracted, it took me a while to get into it. After a few hours I decided to hang out with my brother for a while since he bought a few new games yesterday, one of which was Street Fighters which I haven't played since I was little, it was so much fun. I had to stop playing because I started to get sick so I came back to my room and watched Friends with my sister until I couldn't take the pain anymore and decided to take some medicine, get a back rub from my sister, and take a hot shower among other helpful things I do when I get sick. I laid in bed for an hour trying to recover and watched a few YouTube videos before the hour was over I felt much better. So sometime after 10 I decided to keep reading a bit of the book and am just now going to stop reading because I have chores to do early tomorrow morning. I ended up reading 113 pages of Finale so in total I read 120 pages from the two books.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Wednesday September 7</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">Today I read 99 pages of Finale which means I only have around 9 chapters left of the book. I thought I was going to finish it today, but I hung out with my brother again so I didn't read for a whole afternoon. Although the read-a-thon is ending in a few hours I can read the book whenever I have time and so it won't be so tedious.</span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: 'Helvetica Neue Light', HelveticaNeue-Light, helvetica, arial, sans-serif;">During this week long read-a-thon I finished two books, Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover and Slasher Girls and Monster Boys. In this read-a-thon you must pick a spot in your bookshelf to start reading and read that book and the books that come afterwards. Since I don't really have a bookshelf where I keep my books I am planing to read my eBooks. I have a few books on my library app that I want to read before having to return them. So here are the books I have on my library bookshelf that I am planning to read during this round of RYBSAT.<br />
<br />
First off is the book I didn't complete in the last read-a-thon which is Slasher Girls and Monster Boys by a collection of authors.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://sarahinzombieland.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/img_2927.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://sarahinzombieland.files.wordpress.com/2015/08/img_2927.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
It is supposed to be a collection of scary stories written by different authors and collected into one book. So far I have been liking the stories in the book none of the stories have been scary, but they can get weird at times or just turn out to be an awfully good romance story.<br />
<br />
The next book is Maybe Someday by Colleen Hoover, which I heard a lot of from a few BookTubers I am subscribed to.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Although a lot of those BookTubers bring this book up plenty of times I am going into this book blind and am only guessing that this is a young adult romance novel.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
And the final book on my virtual bookshelf is Finale by Becca Fitzpatrick which is the last book in the Hush,Hush series.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/619mX%2B1xm7L.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/619mX%2B1xm7L.jpg" width="211" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
This book has been on my bookshelf plenty of times, but I have been putting it off because it isn't the greatest book on my to be read pile. I wasn't in love with the characters or the writing, but I have come this far and its time for me to get over with it. Hopefully, I can be done with it and move on to a better series of books.<br />
<br />
If by some miracle I finish reading all three of these books (which I highly doubt) before the week is over I will continue reading Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden which is another book that I just can't seem to finish.<br />
<br />
Once again when the read-a-thon ends I plan on posting a wrap-up of what I read each day during the read-a-thon the day after it ends so expect that next Thursday September 8th. mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-84867080032231629062016-08-23T10:56:00.001-07:002016-08-29T18:08:48.657-07:00BoutofBooks17 ProgressMonday August 22 <div>The worst day to possibly start a Readathon, at least for me. I got called into work an hour earlier than I had planned so I didn't read in the morning. I worked all day and the two hours I had left of my day I decided to relax with a few videos. Luckily this week Monday is actually my Friday so I have two whole days to read. </div><div><br></div><div>Tuesday August 23</div><div>My first day off meant reading time. I started off by reading memoirs of a geisha, it was a hot day and for some reason I wasn't hooked on reading this book so after coming back from errands with my brother I started reading Tex. At the end of the day I read 30 pages from Memoirs and 5 chapters from Tex. By the way my app still doesn't work well so I'm reading Tex from my internet safari instead of the actual app. I don't know how many pages I read because the book doesn't have page numbers so I'm going to be talking about chapters finished instead for Tex. I am currently on Chapter 9. </div><div><br></div><div>Wednesday August 24</div><div>I know Tex is a small book so I knew I would finish it today, I only had four chapters left. I finished it during a sprint with Riley @rmfickfack and Jeanne @SuchaBookaholic on Twitter, which felt so nice since I was starting to feel like not a lot of people were participating or at least posting about it on Twitter. After looking through the #boutofbooks I realized I had to switch between All Tweets rather than Top Tweets which only showed a few tweets from the prior days; there are so many people participating who I hadn't noticed beforehand. Then I continued reading Memoirs of a Geisha for a few hours, I ended up reading 62 pages.</div><div><br></div><div>Thursday August 25</div><div>Basically my Monday which meant I worked, got home and only got to read a few pages. I decided to start reading Slasher Girls and Monster Boys since it's a collection of stories, but I didn't even finish the first story. I only read 23 pages which is fine because tomorrow morning I can read before going to work.</div><div><br></div><div>Friday August 26</div><div>I had the morning to myself which means I got to read for a bit. I finished reading the first story in Slasher Girls and Monster Boys and then read the next two stories. The stories aren't scary, but so far the second story in this book was the best/creepiest. I ended up reading 41 pages before having to get ready to go to work. During my lunch break I started to read another story, I finished it once I got home. In total I read 65 pages today which isn't bad for a work day.</div><div><br></div><div>Saturday August 27</div><div>Once again I had the morning off so I got to read one story from Slasher Girls and Monster Boys, a good story about death that reminds me of a joke I learned as a child. Hopefully I can read another one during my break at work again. Weekends are usually harder days to read because of all the noise and people at home, and weekends are busy at work as well. I only got to read around four pages when I was on my break at work. Pages read today were 25.</div><div><br></div><div>Sunday August 28</div><div>Hopefully I can finish reading Danielle Page's story on Slasher Girls and Monster Boys before work. It sound good so far, but I'm waiting for that ending to see if I'm actually happy with what she's written. I went to the market in the morning and I only had a few minutes before heading to work so I tried reading a bit. Once I was at work I actually got to finish Danielle Paige's story and only her story so I only read around 15 pages today. I like Danielle's writing, but I was hesitant about how she finishes her stories, overall I fell in love with her characters. </div><div><br></div><div><br></div><div>To wrap this all up I finished one book, Tex by S.E. Hinton, and I read and almost completed two books, Memoirs of a Geisha by Arthur Golden and Slasher Girls and Monster Boys. This read-a-thon was great because I didn't expect to finish any books and I got to read more books than I usually would on a workday. Luckily I will be participating in another read-a-thon very soon so I might just finish the other two books soon, but more on that tomorrow. </div><div><br></div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-47806630761427328592016-08-18T20:47:00.002-07:002016-08-18T20:50:46.569-07:00Bout of Books 17<div align="center">
<a href="http://boutofbooks.blogspot.com/" rel="nofollow" title="Bout of Books"><img alt="Bout of Books" src="https://i.imgur.com/YKdCOt4.jpg" style="border: none;" /></a></div>
<br />
I've participated in many read-a-thons and many of which I posted videos of on my YouTube channel, but this time I thought I would post about it here. The next read-a-thon that I will be participating in is Bout of Books 17 which is a week long read-a-thon. This round will be taking place from August 22nd @ 12 am through August 28th. It doesn't matter where you live the time zone is based on YOUR location. Since I will be working 5 out of the 7 days of the read-a-thon I don't plan on finishing any books, but I have a few I want to start or continue reading.<br />
<br />
The first book has been on my to be read list for a long time and I started reading it a few months ago during a different read-a-thon. I want to use this read-a-thon to actually finish it or at least try.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51DOm4DYhqL._SX322_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/51DOm4DYhqL._SX322_BO1,204,203,200_.jpg" width="207" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The next book I started reading in high school and never got to finish. I recently downloaded it onto my phone using a library app and am having trouble with the app. Hopefully I can turn the page on the app and finally go ahead and finish this book. It's currently stuck on the cover page so all i can see is this...</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://images.contentreserve.com/ImageType-400/4209-1/0D8/CF3/A5/%7B0D8CF3A5-4B34-4245-8C09-2F1735B842E8%7DImg400.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://images.contentreserve.com/ImageType-400/4209-1/0D8/CF3/A5/%7B0D8CF3A5-4B34-4245-8C09-2F1735B842E8%7DImg400.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
The last book is a book I heard about on BookTube, it is of course a "horror" book. A few authors came together to write this book and I'm curious to see if it's anything like the Scary Stories trilogy by Alvin Shwartz which I loved as a kid.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I'll be updating how I do on my twitter account throughout the week and once the read-a-thon ends I will be back here to let you know which books I read (if any).</div>

I have been working these past few months and haven't had enough time for myself and for my favorite things like writing on this blog. After Halloween I was burnt out and had no idea were to go from there and what to write about because my life is very boring, at the moment I do nothing but work. But recently I received a few things to review from influenser and decided I can start from there.<br />

The first box I received was a box which contained a new product from the creators of Vicks NyQuil that product being ZzzQuil. I wanted to try it out because the weeks prior to receiving it I had been working at hours that were beginning to wear me down. I got my birthday off so the night before I took the two capsules that came in my box. The product had a few points that I wanted to address in order to see how correct the product is to its statements.<br />
<br />
<div>
The card that came along with the capsules had these few points written about the product...</div>
<ul>
<li><b><span style="color: purple;">Helps you fall asleep in less than 20 minutes</span></b></li>
<li><b><span style="color: purple;">Sleep Soundlessly. Wake Refreshed.</span></b></li>
<li><b><span style="color: purple;">Not for Pain. Just for Sleep.</span></b></li>
<li><b><span style="color: purple;">Non-habit forming</span></b></li>
<li><b><span style="color: purple;">Ensure time to get a sufficient night's sleep (7-8 hours)</span></b></li>
</ul>
<div>
<b><u><br /></u></b></div>
<div>
<20 MINUTES TO FALL ASLEEP</div>
<div>
I take showers at night before going to sleep which usually takes me 20 minutes so I decided to take my capsules before going into the shower in order to see if they made me feel sleepy or had any noticeable effects. I didn't feel any different and was not sleepy when I got out. I laid down after my shower and it took me a few minutes to actually fall asleep.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
SLEEP SOUNDLESSLY, WAKE REFRESHED</div>
<div>
I can say that this is true I slept through the night even though it was very hot and usually that keeps me up. I woke up earlier than usual and I didn't feel like going back to sleep like other days. I actually woke up and felt like I had slept and didn't need five extra minutes before waking up. The entire week that followed I actually felt exactly the same way when waking up, I don't know if it was because of that one good night's sleep or because I got used to my schedule. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
NOT FOR PAIN, JUST FOR SLEEP</div>
<div>
Because of my bad sleeping schedule and the change of weather I was starting to get sick (sore throat) and when I woke up the next day I still felt sick. So yes this did not cure my sore throat, but I already knew that it wouldn't going in. </div>
<br />
<br />
NON-HABIT FORMING<br />
I am not the type of person that gets addicted to things like coffee and such, so I wasn't scared of getting addicted to taking a sleep-aid. I only took it once and had no desire to take more, it is good to know that if I need help sleeping this product can help me, but I won't be buying it any time soon. I have people in my family who I think this can help though since they too have trouble sleeping.<br />
<br />
7-8 HOURS OF SLEEP<br />
I can't recall what time specially I went to sleep and then woke up when I took this, but it was some time after 11pm and then woke the next day before 8am. So, yes it did help me fall asleep the recommended hours in order to get a good nights sleep.<br />
<br />
<br />
I truly think this product works as many of the other Vicks products do for me. I have never had a problem when taking any of the other medication from this company and I am proud to say that this is another medication I can now rely on if necessary.<br />
<br />
Let me know if you have tried this or will try this any time soon and let me know some reasons why you can't fall asleep at night whether it be stress, the heat. or noisy neighbors (which are all my reasons as to why I lose sleep)... but please do let me know what keeps you up at night?<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
<br />
***I received #ZzzQuil for testing purposes from @Influenster and @ZzzQuil I #gotitfree this is not a #ad that I am being paid for, I am just a part of the #SleepLovers.***mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-65926208789035870272015-10-31T22:21:00.001-07:002015-10-31T22:21:02.127-07:00Happy HalloweenNot much happened for me today because of work. I thought I would be able to catch a few trick or treaters once I got home, but my block was dead... Not one person was giving out candy. This year was wasted, I didn't dress up either. At least we had our movie month. So, I'll see you all back here in a month. <div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOp9Lxphtb3Xbl-fm-8Tx1Q6kG6kqXmbIGzzB5LvSe-Ammg678Q2f8cqTugokOsRt7jJnyqHRUOKpDDyLPc-euOE5Wvacabo4J17rPaYNFoH4Uowdq9T_GOifLIjDlDhCXa42DNCtTbnPY/s640/blogger-image-170583771.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiOp9Lxphtb3Xbl-fm-8Tx1Q6kG6kqXmbIGzzB5LvSe-Ammg678Q2f8cqTugokOsRt7jJnyqHRUOKpDDyLPc-euOE5Wvacabo4J17rPaYNFoH4Uowdq9T_GOifLIjDlDhCXa42DNCtTbnPY/s640/blogger-image-170583771.jpg"></a></div><br></div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-79344758028698187852015-10-30T10:30:00.001-07:002015-10-30T10:30:27.961-07:00RabbitsI've watched many Tim Burton films and have talked about it a lot, but there are other directors out there that do a lot of similar work and sometimes do much creepier work. When I was in college I was talking to someone that told me to look up a David Lynch film whenever I got the chance, I wrote it down and that was that. I had been wanting to look up one of his films for a while so I decided to do it today. I looked up David Lynch on YouTube to see what I could find, then I looked up David Lynch movies and one of the first films that popped up was Rabbits. I knew his films where supposed to be creepy, but I had no idea what else to expect. Based on the comments I saw on this video a lot of people, like me, didn't understand what was happening and thought that what they were watching had to do with the holocaust. I have no idea, but this film was boring and strange. I wouldn't watch it again, but I do want to look into his other work and see if there are better films. Rabbits is supposed to be like a 9 episode sitcom so maybe that's why it was so weird, but maybe a different one would make more sense to me. If you end up watching it let me know what you think about it and your interpretation of it.<div><br></div><div>Tomorrow is finally Halloween, I am going to be working so I won't get to celebrate it like most other people. I'll be back tomorrow with the last Blogoween of this year not with a movie, but with something else. Let me know what you plan on doing tomorrow.</div><div><br></div><div>Mabel</div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-13807873626271677272015-10-29T17:45:00.001-07:002015-10-29T17:45:51.745-07:00Headless<div>Today I tried to get my brother to watch a scary movie with me since the Internet was actually working again. It's a good film, perfect to watch at night to make it a bit creepier.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Mabel</div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-85538988709636548112015-10-28T19:03:00.007-07:002015-10-28T22:02:19.067-07:00AlwaysOn Wednesdays I tend to hang out with my brother all day because we watch Supernatural together at night. When he came home from work I asked him if he would watch a horror movie with me and he actually agreed as long as he got to choose. He isn't a fan of horror movies so I thought this would be great. We actually went out and bought snacks before picking a film out. We came back home ready to chose the film and the internet didn't work...no Wi-Fi, no Netflix. So we decided to watch one of our own movies, one we have watched plenty of times. We had just watched the first film a few days ago so we watched the second one. It's one of our least favorite, but the small details complete the entire story. We watched Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. <br><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicIxGhoKzm8C0IAhsRwPeUzWhet7vW2HInYHct2_1nU4nWb-CkJuYNQ6t_R_uesK-vbjMEC2CGcxyIcxcy8lqh84SsfrAeqDKGi2RfBH4x2_je2Uh2J4fLQrpT7MUfk7SR9qnP2QN14cZt/s640/blogger-image--1424943639.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicIxGhoKzm8C0IAhsRwPeUzWhet7vW2HInYHct2_1nU4nWb-CkJuYNQ6t_R_uesK-vbjMEC2CGcxyIcxcy8lqh84SsfrAeqDKGi2RfBH4x2_je2Uh2J4fLQrpT7MUfk7SR9qnP2QN14cZt/s640/blogger-image--1424943639.jpg"></a></div><br>I love to watch Harry Potter films anytime throughout the year, it's great for all holidays and people. <br><br>Other than that my brother and I watch a lot of episodes of random shows, YouTube videos, stand up, and Arthur when we eat dinner. Speaking of I really want to be one of the characters from the show because it's a simple costume idea. All you would need is regular clothes, similar to the one the character wears and the ears for that character.<div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnsVSY34OksAoNqwKbuUJzfsJP6ALmjm_u0NUx2reYq008Fz8NWNMbY3sSPwxEbWqMH3riSoIAzD3nXAEei4SxzJw7Hlw-Y_rrYpCKfhV7aNLiGgFprovTBtxO5Y333Nb2rxCG7ctRhu8v/s640/blogger-image--365420561.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjnsVSY34OksAoNqwKbuUJzfsJP6ALmjm_u0NUx2reYq008Fz8NWNMbY3sSPwxEbWqMH3riSoIAzD3nXAEei4SxzJw7Hlw-Y_rrYpCKfhV7aNLiGgFprovTBtxO5Y333Nb2rxCG7ctRhu8v/s640/blogger-image--365420561.jpg"></a></div><br>Anyways, it's Halloweek which means a lot of shows are doing their Halloween specials this week which are always good.<br>Mabel</div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-47727115212452955892015-10-27T10:45:00.001-07:002015-10-27T10:45:48.068-07:00RulesToday I watched Zombieland, which I tried to watch once before and didn't get a chance to finish.<div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5cPE0IR_LHiRTvAxP_FMLXzsKkiXZGYPuhTNOZvXMWTvfN8FZqzKGCEH4znI7WNDERFTvsTXQV0ejh2uB-DHMGdfGq1ShpVB69i7sEpn-2KV9QcMndO-fQKQYdv_xdYNx0y4slEdQGWDP/s640/blogger-image-1162459453.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh5cPE0IR_LHiRTvAxP_FMLXzsKkiXZGYPuhTNOZvXMWTvfN8FZqzKGCEH4znI7WNDERFTvsTXQV0ejh2uB-DHMGdfGq1ShpVB69i7sEpn-2KV9QcMndO-fQKQYdv_xdYNx0y4slEdQGWDP/s640/blogger-image-1162459453.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">It's a funny movie with zombies of course. The zombies may scare those that don't enjoy horror movies, but that's about it the rest of the movie has funny situations that includes the zombies. This was a good film and I would definetly watch it again. I would say to watch it even if you dislike zombie films at least for Bill Murray's appearance. </div><br></div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-64897777757652475662015-10-26T12:41:00.001-07:002015-10-26T12:41:37.420-07:00Dragged onToday I watched The Omen. I had heard about it before, but I had never watched it. Now that I did I know that it's not for me. It was boring and it dragged on. The deaths of people were the only part that was so gross it made the movie a "horror" film, but there was nothing scary about it. <div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRf0Vb5s4S1sxtB2QpjTnvWt7nPjpmz7ympr4tfgI4nnQogO6sXVNflGQszhD2d2Kj3SQQeWXmT5uZpxnHjIxPMjA2sVX1bRsVuezVDKsLb3FEXqiBgHgXI2l1iifszVLeTKodX9xEiKCv/s640/blogger-image--1671781050.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRf0Vb5s4S1sxtB2QpjTnvWt7nPjpmz7ympr4tfgI4nnQogO6sXVNflGQszhD2d2Kj3SQQeWXmT5uZpxnHjIxPMjA2sVX1bRsVuezVDKsLb3FEXqiBgHgXI2l1iifszVLeTKodX9xEiKCv/s640/blogger-image--1671781050.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">There was no resolution to the story which made this movie worse because I already felt like it was taking forever to get to the good point which didn't happen. I wouldn't watch this movie again and I don't want to look into the sequel either.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><br></div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-66805779226857342092015-10-25T19:49:00.001-07:002015-10-25T20:00:20.983-07:00Missing WeekendYou probably noticed that I missed two days of Blogoween...I did watch a film on Friday, but I got called into work last minute and I didn't get to write about it. I basically worked Thrusday-Sunday (today) so I didn't get any time to post these last two days. Luckily I got out of work at a normal time today so I can do a recap of Friday's film. I watched Dark Shadows which I had never watched before, basically one of the only recent Tim Burton films I hadn't seen yet. I actually remember when it was being advertised and thinking it was a completely different type of movie from what it actually is. <div>My friend took a picture of me in front of the movie "poster" when we went to the movies once, I searched through my old Facebook posts and found the picture...<div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4yKE_dNI-IQjZUlB5zlxjebNUh-U1SO6keFxDWKTB4J9G6T0iHplgCtGo3urI4J7VLR1K_SPo4hZ_JqV3uFlUmzUgyK_SM6e1tSQhzd_bR2A7cl3FCo-5EJg9pUjzs1Z0FQmOsWMNo8u4/s640/blogger-image-1948077305.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi4yKE_dNI-IQjZUlB5zlxjebNUh-U1SO6keFxDWKTB4J9G6T0iHplgCtGo3urI4J7VLR1K_SPo4hZ_JqV3uFlUmzUgyK_SM6e1tSQhzd_bR2A7cl3FCo-5EJg9pUjzs1Z0FQmOsWMNo8u4/s640/blogger-image-1948077305.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">It was a good film, I hated the witch so much which shows how good of an actress and character she is. I would like to see why the ghost goes to the girl that he falls in love with and see more from her character. I don't think people wouldn't notice someone was a werewolf if they were a baby, babies can't hide that. Other than those few flaws it was good and I would watch it again. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><br></div></div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6124479046002309764.post-1324604764210871692015-10-22T12:04:00.001-07:002015-10-22T12:04:35.907-07:00CandyI own Tim Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, I love it so much and I watch it a lot. I've never seen Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory so today I decided to watch it and see if there is a difference.<div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXsJ2DY3PjmCZUArKT4YzTqJxwIz9NvE5XlGsd12oCkcbGjbqYEYBy06-6a6qVSTSboLD7ckxEifb5hiu7BlaC8PLOh7udvnwdwA_9xJw1zc374dn6ytRBO-jWm9yEXCTnQtEfCl9KuT36/s640/blogger-image--1111979612.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgXsJ2DY3PjmCZUArKT4YzTqJxwIz9NvE5XlGsd12oCkcbGjbqYEYBy06-6a6qVSTSboLD7ckxEifb5hiu7BlaC8PLOh7udvnwdwA_9xJw1zc374dn6ytRBO-jWm9yEXCTnQtEfCl9KuT36/s640/blogger-image--1111979612.jpg"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">I still like the movie even though there are many differences with the one I own. There's singing, but instead of just the umpaloompas doing it other characters in the beginning sing too. The umpaloompas are of course different as well and are barely even seen in the film, whereas in the new version they are seen throughout the film and even in back stories. In this film Willy Wonka was much weirder and said random things, Johhny Depp's Wonka is weird, but because of his upbringing (which we actually get to see) we understand why he is the way he is. I know and say a lot of lines from the movie I have, but the only one I see here is "Violet, you're turning violet!", I love the new version because of the squirrels and the funny lines that come with that although I understand the golden eggs and how "a bad egg" can be just as funny as "a bad nut". </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Overall the movie was good, but I like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory way better.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">Mabel</div><br></div>mabelhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03919233686930101723noreply@blogger.com0
