This weekend I was going to cut my hair, but I didn't have time so I decided to go this Friday and I am going thrift shopping afterwards. I looked for a few more pictures of models with beautiful hair because there is a Beauty Salon near my home that has a poster with the exact cut I want but I can't find the picture online. I don't want to go to the salon that has the poster because I have never gotten my hair cut there and would rather go to a salon that I trust. So, again I will bombard you with pictures and hope to find the poster I have been looking for, if not, you will have to wait until Friday to see what I got.
Looks somewhat like the picture below but the bangs are not side swept bangs...
MakeupbyGucci was hosting a contest for her subscribers and I entered in her Facebook contest which was to do an inspired Hello Kitty makeup look and take a picture. I need people to vote for my entry since mine is one of the plainest pictures and all of the other contestants went all out on the look. I actually went for a light pink color throughout. I wore pink lipstick/lip gloss, light pink eye shadow, pink blush, and I finished my eyes with mascara and white eyeliner on my waterline. I also wore gold bow earrings which you can't see on the picture and I wore a pink heart necklace and my pink Hello Kitty name necklace to complete the look. Thanks to everyone and I hope everyone has a great day!
This past year I went to Mexico to visit my grandparents. During my vacation I wanted to get a haircut with a lady that cut my hair once and did an amazing job, but I didn't get a chance to visit the salon. So, this weekend I am going to cut my hair and I searched for a few looks that are similar to what I want and I wanted to share them...
So, I know that I just bombarded everyone with a bunch of different pictures. As you can see I want bangs that's for sure and I want my hair to stay long, but I don't know how/if I should cut it. I looked for models with curly hair since my hair is naturally curly, but I just can't tell how to tell the people that I want it. I hope I get to cut it and if I do I will share pictures to let everyone know what I decided to do with it.
Today was a pretty warm day so I wore a new shirt that my sister bought me last week. It looks as if string was threaded together to make the shirt and looks translucent so I wore a pink spaghetti strap shirt under. I wore my purple vans which I took off right when I got home, but I show my colorful socks which ironically match my shirt. I also got time to do my make-up, but I failed to catch a good quality picture of it. Enjoy the pictures...
So today I took extra time to do my hair and make-up and I wanted to share two different hairstyles that I came up with...
I let my hair down (on the picture above) and combed it all to one side then I got bits of hair from the side not shown and twisted it so that I could clip it at the back of my head in order to make a small bump. I have curly hair already so I just added a bit of mousse at the top to add volume.
Then I took of the clip and tied my hair to one side (this hair-do made me feel like a child).
Today I just wore some mascara, and lightly added some purple eye shadow, and finished the look with The Color Workshop lipstick which looks similar to Mac's Lady Gaga- Viva Glam.
While catching up on a few of my YouTube subscriptions I found a girl wearing a hat from http://spirithoods.com/womens/ which I have wanted since they first came out at Hot Topic. I think these are so cool because they are a three in one type of deal. It's a cute animal hat, furry scarf, and attached to it are some cute paw gloves and this brand includes a hidden pocket inside the long scarf section and a button to stay bundled up in cold weathers. The only thing is that they cost $129, money that I don't have and so I looked for them on Amazon and found cheaper versions, but I don't know if they have the hidden pocket since that is a deal breaker for me. One day I'll be able to buy as many pairs, but for now I'll use my regular scarf.
DulceCandy recently blogged about an outfit using a collared button up with a neon pink sweater over it and a necklace that was no longer than the collar as seen on http://dulcecandy.com/2012/01/ginghampink.html. Her outfit inspired me to recreate something similar and I wanted to share it with everyone today...
It was pretty cold today so I layered another sweater over this outfit, but I wanted to share what I came up with similar to Dulce's outfit. I hope everyone enjoyed the outfit and will recreate an outfit from someone that inspires them.
As I posted before, I am going to hold a clothing swap meaning that whoever is tired of their clothes and wants something new (not necessarily new clothes) can change a piece of clothing with someone else. So, all of the pieces that I recently found in my closet are shirts, but that does not mean that if you like a shirt and want to swap something for it the piece of clothing does not have to be a shirt. It does have to be clothes though.
I am going to post the pictures of the clothes and give them a name, their size, and why I want to swap them. If anyone wants to swap a piece of clothing with one that I have here please let me know by commenting below. Also, they all look wrinkled, but that is because they have been hiding in my closet in a while (they are all clean).
Disney: Eeyore Night Shirt
Size: Small (6/8)
Description of Swap: This shirt is comfortable and cute, but I am pretty tall and have gained weight so the shirt feels short on me and shows the bottom of my tummy. I only wore it once so there is no tag on it.
Graphic Baseball Tee
Size: Large (14-16)
The (2) pictures above show this very comfortable shirt, that fits short on me because I am tall and chunky.
Maggie's Pub Holiday T-shirt
The shirt above is very light weight and comfortable, but it fits short on me because I am tall and chunky
(almost all my shirts are here for this reason).
This collared shirt is from aeropstale's slim fit collection and it fits me short, but does feel slimming and looks cute with a sweatshirt and the collar pepping out.
Size: Extra Large
This shirt is perfect with tights and is very comfortable, but I don't like how it looks on me because my tummy sticks out.
Papaya: Paris A-Symmetrical Shirt
This shirt is light weight and can dress up any casual outfit. I like this shirt, but I don't really like that one of the sleeves slouches to one side rather than being symmetrical.
Planet Gold: Cropped Top
This is a cute shirt, but I have found that cropped top don't look good on me especially now that I have gained a tummy.
Stretchy Turtle Neck
This is a very comfortable sweater, but I am not a fan of turtlenecks. Enough said, lol.
Let me know if anyone is interested and tell me which piece of clothing you want and which piece of clothing you are willing to give up. Also, let me know what the size of the outfit that you are giving up is.
I was reading a blog and got the idea of having a clothing swap which is basically when people pick clothes that either don't fit them anymore, aren't their style, or just clothes that you have that might look better on someone else and you swap that piece of clothing with that person. I really want to do this with my followers and I am planning to look in my closet one of these days to find out what doesn't fit, what I don't mind giving away, and what doesn't compliment me. Let me know what you think and if you would be willing to do this, I will start looking in my closet and posting pictures, the clothing's size and the descriptions of the clothing. Keep a lookout for these items and let me know if you like anything and what you are willing to trade for the item. It's better than wasting cash on something that might not be what you were looking for.
Today is my day off so I dressed in comfortable, breathable clothes. It got pretty hot early on in the morning so I wore summer/spring clothing. I wore some gray leggings, a light green tank top, a pink throw on sweater, and some flats that are good for warm weather (I rarely wear them because they hurt me after some minutes of walking around).
I wore this pink sweater before, but I really like to wear it when I just want to lounge around at home or when I am rushing to get somewhere.
Today was not as cold as other days so I layered a thin sweater along with two shirts under my black zipper jacket. I gave my boots a day off and wore my purple vans (gifted). I took of my sweaters before noon because it got really hot and I wasn't even outside. I am not wearing my sweaters in these pictures, but I still include a picture of how I wore the sweaters.
The gray and white striped sweater has holes (knitted) and I wanted to show that on the picture above, but the picture doesn't do the sweater justice.
I also wear this watch a lot in order to know when my next class begins. I got it Christmas 2010 for $9.99 or $19.99 at Kmart.
This is the purse I said I wanted to talk about. I got it during Winter break in Mexico. It only cost $5 and it can turn into different purses by using the clips that are arranged around the bag. It is a really spacious bag and looks nice with my boots. The only down side is that when I bought the bag I forgot to ask the people for the instructions on how to make the bag take a different shape so I only know how to store it, how to do the look above, and how to leave it as a big bag without fastening buttons. If anyone knows where I can find the directions please let me know in the comments and a huge thanks in advance.
